NuShield is the most complete, shelf-stable, dehydrated placental allograft barrier that supports an environment for healing with its unique preservation method.^1-5

NuShield undergoes a novel preservation method, known as LayerLoc^™, that retains all native layers of the placental membrane, including the amnion and chorion with the spongy layer intact.^1,2,5

NuShield can be used as a barrier for a variety of surgical procedures, such as soft tissue injuries, tendon and nerve repair. It comes in a variety of sizes and is shelf-stable—making it convenient.

In an in vitro barrier model, NuShield allowed cellular attachment and growth without significant infiltration throughout the product.

In a preclinical animal study, NuShield-treated surgical repair sites showed no signs of systemic inflammation and was highly intact 84 days after implantation.
