What is it?

NuShield is a more complete dehydrated amnion-chorion membrane allograft designed to act as a physical barrier to protect and support healing for surgical applications in targeted soft tissue repairs.1

Organogenesis' proprietary processing method results in a more complete dehydrated amniotic allograft. This process preserves the native structure of the amnion and chorion membranes and maintains the spongy/intermediate layer1,8,9 which is an abundant source of proteoglycans, glycoproteins, and hyaluronic acid.2,9-12 Through this process, NuShield is optimized to provide excellent strength, flexibility, and handling.

Product Applications

NuShield can be used in a variety of applications including:

  • Tendon repair
  • Laminectomies
  • Discectomies
  • Acute and Chronic wounds
  • Adhesion Barrier applications
Why NuShield?

The proprietary process for NuShield preserves the native amnion and chorion with the spongy/intermediate layer intact1,8,9, requiring less manipulation than other dehydrated amnion allografts on the market. NuShield protects the surgical site by acting as a physical barrier.1 NuShield contains a rich supply of growth factors and cytokines to help create an enhanced environment that supports healing.2,5,6,8,10-13
